Eyebrow + Body Waxing
Before:
No sunburns!
The perfect hair length for body waxing is 1/4”
Drinking caffeinated drinks and even alcohol can make your skin much more sensitive. Try to avoid these for a few hours before your wax.
Taking an ibuprofen or aspirin about 30 minutes before your wax can help lessen the pain.
Exfoliate gently the night before.
Avoid tweezing in-between wax appointments! This allows the growth cycle of your hairs to be more consistent.
Skip heavy workouts or hot yoga the day of your wax.
Avoid retinoids for at least 1-2 weeks before you wax, (yes, even if you don't put the product on your brows!)
Stop the use of accutane for 1 year before eyebrow waxing.
First 24 hours post service:
Avoid hot baths or showers (cool to lukewarm water only).
Avoid hot temperatures and moisture. No sauna, steam baths, jacuzzi, hot yoga, etc.
Avoid exercise, as getting sweaty could clog the hair follicles.
Avoid tanning (sunbathing, sun beds, and spray tans).
Avoid scratching and touching the treated area with unwashed hands.
Avoid applying deodorant, anything perfumed, or makeup to the waxed area.
Avoid other facial beauty services.
Avoid retinoids until redness has subsided.
Please note: Some slight soreness, small bumps and redness are common and normal temporary reactions for some people, particularly if this is your first wax or if you have sensitive skin. These symptoms should subside over the next 24-48 hours. If you experience persistent redness or irritation or if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us!
Lash Extensions
DO:
Brush your lashes daily when dry only.
Wash face with an oil-free mild foaming or gel cleanser.
Wash and rinse lashes daily with a lash cleanser and brush. Our professional prolong lash cleanser+brush is sold in the studio.
Cleanse lashes right after swimming in salt water or chlorine.
Choose pencil or powdered based eyeliners instead of liquid, gel, and waterproof.
Cleanse lashes before your appointment for better retention! Clean lashes=more lash time!
Sleep on a silk pillowcase to avoid pulling.
Pre-book your lash fill every 2-3 weeks!
Remember: Your lifestyle and activities such as exercise, swimming, sauna, hot yoga, sunbathing will affect your lash extension retention.
DO NOT:
Avoid mascara, especially waterproof.
Avoid picking or pulling at your extensions.
Avoid eyelash curlers.
Avoid rubbing or extensive touching of the lashes.
Avoid cotton pads/swabs around eye area. Cotton pulls out extensions.
Avoid self-tanner and spray tans on face.
Avoid sleeping on one side of your face.
Avoid oil-based products such as moisturizer and makeup remover around eye area.
Lash Lift
First 24 hours post service:
Avoid getting lashes wet.
Avoid hot temperatures and moisture. No sauna, steam baths, jacuzzi, hot yoga, swimming, etc.
Avoid eye makeup.
Avoid self-tanner and spray tans on face.
Avoid other facial beauty services.
Avoid any lash growth serum.
Within first 24 hours and beyond:
Avoid rubbing or extensive touching of the lashes.
Avoid oil-based makeup removers, face washes, and mascara, as this can cause the lashes to straighten faster.
Avoid castor oil, coconut oil, almond oil, avocado oil, olive oil, and jojoba oil etc on eyes as these can weaken the lash lift.
Avoid waterproof mascara as this takes more force to remove.
Use of sauna/steam is possible after 24-48 hours, but may weaken the effect of the lash lift.
Remember: Your eyelashes are still flexible for the first couple of days after your service, so avoiding moisture is critical to keeping the curl. This means no steamy showers, swimming, or saunas for at least 24-48 hours (including cooking over a steaming stove top).
Sleep on your back! Since your lashes are still shape shifting, sleeping on your side or putting pressure on your lashes can leave them mis-shaped. A silk pillowcase is recommended!
Brow Lamination
First 24 hours post service:
Avoid contact with water.
Avoid sleeping on your brows.
Avoid brow makeup.
Avoid rubbing or extensive touching of the brows.
Avoid self-tanner and spray tans on face.

Within first 24 hours and beyond:
Avoid sleeping on your brows to avoid frizziness.
Avoid rubbing or extensive touching of the brows.
Use a brow soap or gel to style and hold brows in place. Our beachy brow soaps are sold in the studio.
Avoid oil-based face cleansers and harsh makeup remover wipes. Always gently rubbing in the direction of the hair pattern of your brows when washing.
Remove brow makeup with a cleansing balm instead of harsh makeup remover wipes.
After showering and washing your face with a mild cleanser and patting dry always brush brow hairs in the direction you want them to lay.
Apply a conditioning treatment once a week in the shower. Your brows will thank you!
Don't spend too long in direct sunlight as this will weaken the lamination. Try wearing hats as much as possible if out in the sun. Also chlorine and certain skincare products such as retinoids, AHA’s, BHA’s will shorten the effects of the lamination.
Condition brows with an organic castor oil once a day at night to strengthen and nourish the brow hairs. Our organic castor oil reuseable tubes+brushes are sold in the studio.
Remember brow lamination is low maintenance not no maintenance! :)
